Our aim is simple, we want people to enjoy astronomy and feel welcome to join in our activities. We meet on the first Thursday of each month (excluding August) at Egerton Park Indoor Bowls Club, Egerton Road, Bexhill, East Sussex TN39 3HL.
MEETINGS Our meetings start at 8 pm and take the form of a ESAS and night sky update, then a break for coffee and then the main speaker..
SOCIAL Each August, in place of our meeting, the Society holds its annual BBQ. At Christmas we have a get together.....
OBSERVINGESAS has it own observatory with a 16" telescope which is available for members use. We also have a range of telescopes which members can use..
MEETING ENTRANCE In the current venue there is an entrance fee (£2 members/£4 non-members)..
MEMBERSHIPWe have members of all ages whose abilities range from beginners to seasoned astronomers. Non members are welcome at our meetings where they will receive a copy of the ESAS magazine, Albedo, and a welcome pack from the Society.
Meeting with like minded people with who I can share my interests in personI have learnt from the society and I share what I know... I like being around people who share my interests on a local basis too.
Great people and fabulous informative meetingsInformation sharing on new products, how they work or in some cases don't work, is all very beneficial. Sharing information and of course the night sky with the community has been very rewarding.
Having a dark site with electricity and facilities can't be beat I learn from them and I can also share what I know. I like being around theh members who share my interests.

Being part of the ESAS has been an enriching experience and fabulous informative with all the varied monthly meetingsIt is always good to meet new people that you are related or have similar interests or ideas and I believe it will be a nice experience for me.
